I. Child Care: Children’s Homes and Schools

         Child care is one of the important ministries of IGL. Over one-third of the world’s population is children and India stands second among the nations in the highest number of children under the age of 15. India has the largest child labor force in the world. It also has the highest number of infant deaths.

        IGL's call is to respond to the total needs of the children and their families physical, material, social and emotional as well as spiritual. IGL establishes village schools, daycare centers, community health, and adult literacy program.

 IGL works in more than 250 villages in India with the goal of “Touching lives . . . Transforming Communities”. The following programs are being implemented.  

A significant majority is left with no access to medical care. They live in rural areas without access to hospitals or clinics. IGL makes efforts to meet these needs in several regions. 

 IGL’s mission is the Great Commission. Its primary purpose is to reach the unreached with the message of Jesus Christ in Christian love.
